GVF, a not-for-profit organization inspiring mobility choices for all, hosted its TDM Advocates Breakfast to recognize its 2023 TDM Advocates, along with speaker panel Bryan Fenstermaker, President & CEO of City Ave District; Laura Manion, President & CEO of Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry; and Bernie Dagenais, President & CEO of The Main Line Chamber of Commerce.
Through GVF’s TDM Advocates program, organizations are encouraged and recognized for their commitment to implementing programs that promote commuting alternatives that improve the environment and quality of life for employees and the community.
This year's organizations include Fortune 500 companies, engineering and development firms, retail locations, and local municipalities.
Transportation Demand Management (TDM) refers to strategies, programs, or policies designed to reduce drive-alone trips and enable the transportation system to function more effectively and efficiently through alternative transportation options such as biking, walking, carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, or remote work.
By implementing TDM strategies and reducing drive-alone trips we can improve our climate and increase the efficiency of our regional roadways.
The speaker panel Bryan Fenstermaker, Laura Manion, and Bernie Dagenais, spoke about the interconnection of housing, public transportation, trails, economic prosperity, and the importance of prioritizing housing and transportation infrastructure to retain an employment base.
"Congratulations again to all of our 2023 TDM Advocates. It’s wonderful to see employers and communities focusing on helping their employees an residents to have mobility options”, said Rob Henry, GVF Executive Director
