Director of TDM Planning
Anita joins the GVF team as a newcomer to the organization in August 2018 in the role of Director of TDM Planning. Her responsibilities will include management of the relationships and work orders of our partners: PennDOT (for the US 202 and US 422 improvements), municipal partners, the US 422 Coalition, shuttle management contracts and grant applications and administration.
Anita comes to GVF from her previous career ‘life’ as a civil engineer who has worked for several consulting engineering firms in the capacity of design engineer, project manager and business development professional within the field of land development and stormwater management. In those capacities, she has
worked with clients such as the City of Philadelphia, PennDOT, DGS, higher education institutions and commercial and residential developers.
Her service to her home township of West Whiteland as committee person for the Act 209 Traffic Impact Fee Advisory Committee (2015) and currently as the Chair of the Planning Commission has opened her eyes to the critical role of planning and the role it plays in ensuring the health and well-being of our beautiful communities. She is excited to help further to goals of GVF in the realm of TDM.
Prior to joining GVF, Anita worked at Dawood Eng ineering, Inc. in King of Prussia and Hunt Engineering Company in Malvern.
She received both a civil engineering degree (BSCE) and a liberal arts degree (BA) from a joint program between Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT and the University of Connecticut. She is a professional engineer in both PA and CT.
Originally from Newtown Square, PA, Anita now calls Exton her home. She is married to Andy Nardone, the mother of three children and loves her involvement in West Whiteland Township, her parish and singing in its choir, Bishop Shanahan High School, Safe Harbor and Kairos Prison Ministry. She considers as one of her accomplishments the founding of the Hartford Area affiliate of Habitat for Humanity in 1988.
