Shuttle Management

GVF operates numerous shuttles through out the Greater Valley Forge region. These shuttles provide job access, community mobility and reduce congestion in the most heavily traveled areas in the region. GVF partners with local municipalities, corporations and government agencies to provide transit to their employees and residents.

 The Rambler

A number of municipalities need transportation services for their residents. GVF has already implemented a residential shuttle in Upper Merion Township and Conshohocken Borough servicing residents during off-peak hours. GVF is working to initiate similar programs in other municipalities

Cruise Line
GVF administers PennDOT's Intercorporate Shuttle service for area employees. The service provides on time, executive style front-door service to businesses from train stations, transit centers, and park & ride facilities througout the region. Companies reduce costs by partnering with other participants located along the U.S. 202 Corridor.

King of Prussia Mall Courtesy Shuttle
The King of Prussia Mall partnered with GVF to provide holiday shoppers with a complimentary shuttle service to make getting around the Court and Plaza easier and more convenient for the 2008 and 2009 holiday seasons.  Each shuttle held 20 passengers and circulated the entire mall.

Valley Forge National Historical Park Shuttle
In order to enhance the visitor experience at Valley Forge National Historical Park, GVF has been working with the park to implement a free shuttle service to keep cars out of the park and in the parking lots!
The park, which boasts 3,500 acres of historic landscapes and open space that receives 1.3 million visitors a year, also has more than 6 million through-vehicles using public roads in the park. Traffic congestion is growing in the park and negatively affects the visitor experience and the cultural and natural resources of the park.
For that reason, GVF will manage and oversee the shuttle.
This shuttle will differ from the trolley tour that is currently offered at the park. The trolley tour is a 90-minute ride throughout the park with storytellers that bring the park to life. The shuttle that GVF will manage will be used strictly for transportation purposes, and will not be used for touring purposes.
The service for 2010 will be during the spring and summer months. Keep checking back for updates and details!

Montgomery County Community College Shuttle
GVF has partnered with Montgomery County Community College to help students and faculty commute between the Blue Bell and Pottstown campuses. The campus shuttle managed by GVF is a free pilot program for fall 2010, but will cost a fee in spring 2011. The 14 passenger shuttle runs Monday-Thursday on a space available basis. Average ride time is 45-50 minutes. The shuttle program has the potential to reduce vehicle usage by up to 3,900 miles daily if the bus operates each trip at full capacity.
