• ASTBOUND I 76 RIGHT LANE TO CLOSE AT NIGHT BETWEEN I 676 AND WALNUT STREET IN PHILADELPHIA NEXT WEEK

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced the right lane on eastbound Interstate 76 will be closed between Interstate 676 and Walnut Street in Philadelphia on Monday through Thursday nights (August 2-5) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead construction by MECO Constructors, Inc.
Crews will work next week to install concrete barriers for the new IRS building that is being constructed at 30th Street and Market Street. The barriers will be secured from under 30th Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area as backup will occur.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major highways before heading out.
